Miva Membership & Seasons Pass

Thank you for your interest in becoming a MIVA member. We are a supportive, competitive, and open-minded group of cyclists who want to further promote cycling in the Mid Island region. Whatever your interest in cycling, you are sure to find like-minded riders amongst our diverse membership.

Volunteer and Win Prizes!

We are often looking for volunteers for our events, to help with timing, marshaling, set up etc. At the end the each year all the volunteer’s names are thrown into a hat for a prize draw. The top prize in recent years has been a full carbon wheelset, it’s not just bottles we’re giving away! Check our registrations page on Webscorer for the latest volunteering opportunities.

We encourage all our members to use the online signup for 2019. If for some reason you are having trouble or just cannot sign up online, use the contact form and we will give you a hand.

Please note:
As part of the membership registration process, you must provide proof of Cycling BC (CBC) insurance prior to submitting your membership details.

If you want to compete in categorized racing in BC only for Cup, Series and Provincial Championships, you will need what is now called a Provincial Race license. Most club members will be in the category called Provincial Ride. For more information and to register go to Cycling BC Registration and follow the links (then be ready to provide us with your license number). The Provincial Ride license is discounted to $54 if you register before Jan 7.

In summary, the differences between the two licenses are as follows:
Provincial Ride
• participating in club events or racing in BC at the novice level
• NOT interested in points, upgrades, championships or racing outside of BC
Provincial Race
• interested in categorized racing, points, upgrades, competing for cup/series/provincial championships and racing IN BC ONLY
• interested in racing in or out of BC, competing for National or International Championships, racing in UCI sanctioned races

All MIVA events (time trials, crits, hill climbs, challenges etc.) are unsanctioned and only require a Provincial Ride insurance level.

Once you have paid for your CBC license you may immediately obtain your license number by clicking on your name in the upper right corner and choosing memberships. The drop-down menu will have an entry for your 2019 registration. Select this option and your membership/license number will be displayed near the top of the page.

As in past years we use Webscorer to process all club membership, seasons pass and event registrations.
