You have heard of the Festive 500, well MIVA is going BIGGER with the MIVA Festive 5000, though it’s in metres not kilometers. From Dec 24th till New Years Eve we will tally up metres climbed for those on MIVA’s Strava club page and post them on the MIVA Discord club-strava-challenge channel. This includes everything Strava includes under cycling: road, gravel, virtual, MTB etc.

Nothing will be posted until you reach 2000m in order to filter out those whom have succumbed to the holiday’s hedonistic riot of consumption. Be strong!

The numbers will be tallied in the evenings.
No prizes other than good health (no better gift)

Twas the night before Chistmas and what do I hear
The spinning of pedals, the grinding of gears.

Come Wilunga, Bealach, D’Huez and King Peak
And other mountains you can climb this week
Don’t forget our most convenient haunt
I’m referring to our diminutive Doumont.

There is also the Devil’s Hill, you might know
At the top of Ware, but might be in snow
All over town there is no end of climbs
Some might need repeating a few times.

By the end of this festive Christmas week
You will feel fit and trim and not so meek
So don’t end the year on a resigning sigh
But onward and upward on a skyward high.
