WEDNESDAY EVENING CRITERIUMS FOR WOMEN This season, 17 women have ridden one or more midweek time trials, with10 of you being “regulars”. If 5 or more of you show up next Wednesday for the Boxwood criterium, we’ll put on a special event for you for FREE. Most of you are triathletes and the bunch handling skills you can develop in a massed start race like a criterium will stand you in good stead as the revised triathlon rules will allow pace line and drafting. WILL CADEL LEAD ALL THE WAY TO PARIS?

leads the TDF general classification after stage 8. With Armstrong now 12 minutes down, the race is among a select few, including Evans, Andy Schleck, Alberto Contador, Ivan Basso, Denis Menchov, Canadian Ryder Hesjedal, Carlos Sastre, and Levi Leipheimer. Of course, Wiggins and Vinokourov are still within striking distance. Will Kreuziger, Sanchez, Rogers or Van den Broek be able to hang on to their current top ten positions? Hey, this is going to be the most exciting Tour in many years!
CYCLING TOUR, CUBA, NOVEMBER 2010 This November, Peter Marshall, a long time friend and business associate, is organising the Tailwind Grand Tour in Cuba. For those of you who have never done a cycling trip to this wonderful country, the tour is well worth your consideration. Cuba is one of the most cycling-friendly countries in the world. The people are friendly and hospitable and Peter knows both competitive and recreational cycling demands well and provides a number of different levels within the Tour structure. COLUMBIA HTC'S MARK CAVENDISH SPRINTS TO STAGE SIX VICTORY Mark Cavendish showed why he is the best sprinter in the Tour by beating out recovering Tyler Farrar and Andre Pettachi to win Friday's sixth stage of the Tour de France. Now comes the mountains, so watch for GC contenders Evans, Armstrong, Contador, Andy Schleck, Vinokourov and, yes, Canada's own Ryder Hesjedal. (would someone PLEASE take Phil Liggett aside and explain how to pronounce "Hesjedal"!)
