At its regular BOD meeting on Wednesday, the MIVA executive discussed the difficulty of getting riders out on the scheduled Saturday club rides. Even though we have joined in with the OBB rides leaving from their store on Terminal, there is still a dearth of club members showing up as many of them are involved in other activities on Saturdays, including races, running, etc.
It was decided to put a club ride section on the web page and to invite club members to post their own rides, including time, date and location. If you have ideas about how to make this fly, please comment.
This Sunday, there will be a 15 kilometer time trial on the Duke Point Highway in Nanaimo. Registration is at 10.30am and first rider off at 11am. This will possibly be the last opportunity to race on the Duke Point course as the repairs to the ferry boarding ramp are scheduled to be completed in early April. If the terminal is still closed , there will be a third time trial on Sunday, April 8th.

MIVA takes first road race win of the season with Rob Russell breaking away early in Caleb pike race, Later being joined by new MIVA member Doug Merrick, awesome ride with Rob and Doug finishing first & second! Brodie Hay rode well in the C race to finish second! Good result for the club!
