MIVA SPINNING CLASSES A GREAT SUCCESS

The first MIVA spinning class at Northridge Fitness Centre was well-attended and the participants were treated to an energetic workout conducted by Neo - instructor Phil Birrer. Phil's enthusiastic leadership and the loud, upbeat music combined to ensure that everyone worked at the Max. The sessions are every Thursday from 7pm - 8pm and all participants must register each week to be sure of a place on one of the Greg Lemond spin bikes. The machines are equipped with toe clips and straps, with three of them having SPD fitments for your MTB shoes. If you prefer to use your own pedals, bring them along with a 15mm wrench and allow yourself time to change them.

There are changing rooms at the centre, so bring a towel and have a shower if you wish.

MIVA AWARDS NIGHT AND AGM, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH.

MIVA Awards Night is this Thursday at the Longwood Brew Pub in the Upstairs Room (no, it's NOT the Last Supper). The evening will start with the club AGM which will include elections for all club directors. Many will stand for re-election but there will be vacancies as some are not returning for next year. If you are interested in a director position. come to the agm, get someone or yourself to nominate you and see if you can get voted in. We definitely need a women's director, a new club coach and a new statistician. The rest of the evening will be fun, with goodies provided by the club and you cn also order food and drink as there is a good waiter/waitress service. Soft drinks are free. See you there.

If there is demand, a second session following the first may be opened up.  If the registration is full, we ask that you sign up on the wait list to be next in line.

If you can't make it to the spin class, please contact Phil @ pbirrer@gmail.com ASAP so that we may bump up someone on the waitlist.  Failure to attend after signing up will result in a nominal fee being charged, as someone would have wanted to fill that spot.
