LONGWOOD BREWERY CRITERIUM #4, 140513

A great race this evening. Everyone (almost) rode safely and the racing was spirited, with lots of abortive breakaway attempts. The marshals handled all traffic with no problem and the increased signage helped to diffuse any altercations. Full results http://www.webscorer.com/race?raceid=22361

MIVA RECREATIONAL RIDE 14 05 12

Leo and Peter led the ride with four other participants. The route was a safe and quiet one, using Labieux, and several roads off Meredith, to return on the E and N Trail , Shenton and Labieux again, back to Beban Park. These casual rides are designed to teach traffic proofing and group riding skills to those cyclists who are nervous about riding together and would like to learn about basic group riding techniques such as drafting and sharing the effort. The next ride is on the Monday of the long weekend. Time 6.30pm, place Beban Park Parking Lot next to the Kids' Playground. See you there.
