| Happy New Year.
I hope everyone had a merry christmas and a happy new year season filled with good food, good company and shiny new bike parts under the tree.
Now it's time to start working on goals for next year, whether that be a certain distance per week, a provincial title or just a personal best on strava.
2018 club membership is now live
https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=123813 As in past years you still need to have a cycling BC membership. Since everyone signed up for a membership last year I'm sure you've all received the many emails they've sent advertising an early bird savings of 10% if you sign up before January 7th. https://cyclingbc.net/membership/registration/ Not sure which membership you need? The Provincial Ride License - is the basic membership and the minimum required for club group rides. If you're not planning on doing any racing this is the one to get. The Provincial Race License - Covers you for club rides, plus lets you participate in races across the province The UCI Race License - Is the one you want if you plan to travel and race See you on the Road when the ice melts, Cheers |

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to volunteer with course set up/operations day of/clean up on Sunday.
If you haven't heard, we're still looking for volunteers to help out with set up Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, manual back up timing and course marshalls as well as course clean up on Sunday.
If you're available to help out, please let us know here on Webscorer
Also long time member Janna wanted me to let everyone know that she will be bringing fresh baked cookies and maybe mini-muffins on Saturday morning when she comes to help with Registration. As you may or may not know, Janna was a big help last year, volunteering at quite a few of our events. Janna also won our volunteer draw prize at the AGM in October and will be lapping me at the crits her brand new Easton wheelset. Now I'm not saying baking us cookies and muffins will get you a wheelset, but it couldn't hurt ;) (It was a totally random draw with Mike holding the list of names and Corey holding the random number generator)
In addition to everything else that is happening this weekend, Sean and Corey are also hosting a get together at Rock City Cycles Saturday night after the race to close out the Cross on the Rock season. Open to the cyclocross team and MIVA members come by for a beer and some pizza(after you've rinsed the mud off of course)
