NATIONAL TIME TRIAL CHAMP USES NRR FOR FINAL TUNE UP

Curtis Deardon, who has just won the Canadian National Time Trial Championship, rode the MIVA 40 KM event on Nanaimo River Road a couple of weeks ago. He won the event, which has three dead turns and is acknowledged as a tough course, in a record time of 53' 15".  The Russ Hayes rider is set to return to our course  with several of his fast team couple to ride the remaining 40 kilometre races. Rumour has it that our fast man, Don Gillmore, who holds the old course 40km record of53' 16", will be out to do battle with the New champion.
