THE IMPORTANCE OF WARMING UP PRIOR TO A TIME TRIAL Two of the best ways to knock a significant amount of time off your time trial result, if you are already fit and your bike is prepared properly, are:
1. improve your turn technique and
2. improve how you start.
But perhaps the best way to ride faster time trials is to warm up before the event.There are various ways to accomplish this. Riding out to the start is one, riding the entire course at just under race speed is another, Using stationary rollers or a home trainer before the start is a third.
