MIVA Gear Swap #1 was a great event!!

Lots of stuff was sold and fun was had at the first annual MIVA gear swap. It was a good way to get together and talk bikes, gear, or whatever. We are already looking a larger location for next year and ways to get more buyers. If you have any ideas send them to miva.gear@shaw.ca.

Thanks Jana for a well organized event and Lee for hosting!

Gear Swap *Updated with correct Email*

We're less than a week away from our first Club Gear swap and we've still got some tables available. This is a great chance to clean out your closet or your garage of the parts and kit that you don't use anymore.  Or come by and see what's up for grabs and find some great "New to You" items.

To reserve yourself a table send an email to Miva.gear@shaw.ca or else be left out in a rainy parking lot to try and move your kit.

The Swap runs from 9am to noon Saturday Feb 25 and is being held in the amenity room of 2109 Meredith Road.

We're also looking for a couple of volunteers who are able to help with set up at 8am. Please email Miva.gear@shaw.ca if you can help out.

Thanks

MIVA's first Cycling Gear Swap

I bet most of us have lots of cycling gear that is building up in our garages. Well here is a chance to get rid of it and make someone else happy. MIVA is holding it's first ever Cycling Gear Swap on Saturday February 25th. This will also be a good chance to socialize with other members and plan some rides or get physched for our race schedule starting in April. Please limit this to used bikes and parts. See poster attached for more details including how to book a table for your gear.

Help remediate Beban Park turf pleeeeaaase!

Picture me getting up on a soap box.... Now that the snow is gone we need to get back to Beban Park and remediate the impact our fantastic 'cross race had on the turf, etc. Another reminder here that this race brings in lots of cash for us in order to offer our many events throughout the season. So your help is greatly appreciated in order to remediate and keep a great relationship with the park stakeholders. Saturday at 9 am we will meet near the building we had registration at then split up and get the work done. More people = a fast work party.

If you have a tamp tool or a short rigid tooth rake bring them with you.

Please email me so I know if this plea is enough and therefore I won't nag you again.

Thanks in advance MIVA members and friends:) miva.president@gmail.com
