A HISTORY OF TIME TRIALLING

TIME TRIALS, A BRITISH SPECIALTY The organisers of the OBB Wheelers midweek time trial series both got into competitive cycling in the 1950's as members of London St. Christopher's C.C.C. Although the club promoted an annual road race. most of the racing members specialised in riding time trials and Peter and Dave were no exception at the start of their competition years. To give some idea of the "race of truth", as the time trial was labelled, in the 1940's and 1950's, go here.

HOW LONG WILL YOU LIVE?

LIFE EXPECTANCY CALCULATORS Most of our regular site visitors are fit and look after themselves. For some life expectancy and virtual age calculators, go here here and here.  If you virtual age is more than your chronological age, you are in big trouble and should not ride the weekly time trials as we don't have a hearse on site!

SUNDAY ROAD RIDES

SUNDAY ROAD RIDES Great news! Robin Dutton is organising Sunday road rides, starting on October 10th. Meet at 9am at Java Expressions on Bowen Rd. Depending on numbers, there may be slow and faster groups to cater to all levels of experience, fitness, and inclination. For further information, go here.
