MIVA is conducting two one week courses for new youth cyclists. Courses will include elements on bike fit and adjustment, riding skills, road safety and an introduction to competition, On the final two days, the participants will be using the clubs Fuji track bikes, purchased from Vellendtech and the course will conclude with a grass track meet. Coursse conductor will be Peter McCaffery.Course dates are: July 7-11 and August 11-15. For further details, check the club web site or Facebook page.

MIVA 20 km Time Trial 140626The Webscorer programme crashed tonight so will get them to retreive the times if possible. In the meantime, here are provisional results. Sorry I missed you Simon. Thanks to Anita Gillmore for helping with recording times. In the youth categories, there was a really close race, with only 23 seconds separating the top 3 and all doing personal best times.. In the men's cat., Don Gillmore did his usual super ride and won easily by 3 and a half minutes. Iain Hay did a pb with a 39.6kph ride and Mike Gill beat his previous best by 22 seconds.
