OBB WHEELERS 15KM ITT 10 09 09

OBB WHEELERS 15KM ITT, NEW WOMEN'S COURSE RECORD. 15 entries for the last time trial of the season. Not bad, considering

the cool weather, the stiff west wind, and the fact that several of

the riders had competed in a short HCTC triathlon last night.

In the men’s category, Shawn Boyd beat Derek Brain by

twenty-four seconds with a time only nine seconds slower than his

season best of 22 -54. Derek was also only seven seconds slower

than his season best.

In the women’s event, Janna Gillick and Erin Hibbitts repeated their

usual one-two, with Janna beating Erin by over a minute in twenty

-four minutes even, a new women’s course record.

For the second time this year, the Gillmore triplet sped up to the

turn and back with Ian and Meghan helping daddy Don to post a truly

remarkable 24-49, the fourth fastest time of the night! Thanks to John

Hannon for acting as turn marshal tonight.  Full results here.

In the season- long series competition Don Gillmore and Janna

Gillick have first places sewn up but, with two hill climbs left, there

could be some changes  in some of the top ten spots.  Next week’s

hill climb starts just south of the traffic lights near the Jinglepot Inn,

proceeds up the highway to turn right at the next lights and finish at

the top of College Drive. Please park in the rear spots beside the Jinglepot

Liquor Store.

LA Z BOY CRITERIUM # 9
